What are aluminium lockout padlocks?
Our aluminium padlocks feature a hardened shackle, designed for industrial Lockout Tagout applications. These padlocks are used to physically secure an isolation point so machinery, equipment, or energy sources cannot be switched back on while work is being carried out.

With eight different colours available, you can choose to have a different colour per department or person to improve visibility and show ownership. This makes isolation procedures easier to manage during group lockout situations where multiple people are working on the same equipment.

What are aluminium padlocks used for?
Unlike standard safety padlocks, these aluminium padlocks are a more robust version, designed for hard-wearing environments. This means that they are suitable for applications where moisture, dust, chemicals, or outdoor exposure may be an issue.

Where to use an aluminium padlock.
Aluminium lockout padlocks are particularly useful in environments where durability matters. Their corrosion-resistant construction makes them suitable for:
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Warehouses
  • Engineering workshops
  • Outdoor plant equipment
  • Food production environments
  • Utilities and maintenance operations

Dustproof Cover for Lockout Safety Padlock:

Code: LOK349

What are dustproof covers for lockout safety padlocks?
Dustproof Covers for Lockout Safety Padlock are protective sleeves designed to shield lockout padlocks from dust, dirt, moisture, and other contaminants in harsh working environments. They fit over the padlock body, keyway, or shackle area to help keep the lock functioning correctly over time.

When are dustproof covers needed?
Dustproof covers are needed when padlocks are operating in environments where they will be exposed to dirt and dust. Dustproof covers help extend the lifespan of lockout padlocks and reduce the chance of damage to the locking mechanism. This is especially important in environments where padlocks are used frequently or left in place for extended periods.

Multipurpose Cable Lockout:

Code: LOK365

What is a multipurpose cable lockout?
This multipurpose cable lockout is an adjustable cable that locks out valves and machinery with awkward isolation points. They use a durable cable that threads through or around isolation points before being tightened and secured with a lockout padlock.

When are multipurpose cable lockouts used?
These devices are used to isolate a wide range of equipment and energy sources that cannot easily be secured with a standard lockout device. In industrial environments, cable lockouts are often used during maintenance shutdowns, servicing work, plant repairs, or contractor activities where several energy sources need to remain isolated until work is complete.

Multipurpose cable lockouts also feature a 5-hole design that allows multiple workers to apply their padlocks simultaneously.

How to use multipurpose cable lockouts.
Step 1: Pass the cable through the valve
Step 2: Pass the cable through the fixing hole
Step 3: Adjust the length of the cable to the proper length
Step 4: Press the black handle to lock the device
Step 5: Apply your padlock/s to the device to lock out the device

Handle-off Ball Valve Lockout:

Code: LOK359

What is a handle-off ball valve lockout?
A handle-off ball valve lockout covers the valve stem to prevent operation once the handle has been removed. Instead of locking over the handle itself, the device fits over the exposed valve stem and mounting area once the handle has been taken off. A padlock is then added to secure the lockout in place, preventing anyone from reinstalling the handle or turning the valve.

Wedge-style Adjustable Butterfly Valve Lockout:

Code: LOK360

What is a wedge-style adjustable butterfly valve lockout?
A wedge-style adjustable butterfly valve lockout is a lockout tagout device designed to stop butterfly valves from being operated during maintenance work. It physically blocks the valve handle from moving, helping isolate hazardous energy and prevent accidental start-up.

How do wedge-style adjustable butterfly valve lockouts work?
Butterfly valves use a rotating lever handle to open or close the valve. A wedge-style lockout works by trapping or blocking the handle so it cannot rotate. The rivet allows the lockout device to pivot smoothly for correct positioning and a secure fit. A 4mm cable lockout is then passed through the eyelet and around the valve neck to fully lock out the valve.

Wedge-style Valve Lockout:

Codes: LOK357 (Small) & LOK358 (Large)

What is a wedge-style valve lockout?
A wedge-style valve lockout secures manual quarter-turn valve handles in the off position to prevent accidental opening. It works by physically blocking the valve handle from moving, helping isolate hazardous energy and prevent accidental operation.

Unlike butterfly valve lockouts, this wedge-style valve lockout is designed for general lever-handle valves and is fixed in size rather than adjustable.

How do wedge-style valve lockouts work?
The wedge-style valve lockout is placed against or around the valve lever handle to prevent the handle from rotating. Once positioned correctly, a lockout padlock is attached through the lockout point to secure it in place.

Clamp-on Breaker Lockout:

Codes: LOK362 (Small), LOK363 (Medium), & LOK364 (Large)

What is a clamp-on breaker lockout?
A clamp-on breaker lockout is a device used to secure a circuit breaker in the off position, preventing it from being switched on accidentally during maintenance or electrical work.
It is designed mainly for larger circuit breakers where a standard snap-on breaker lockout would not provide a secure fit.

How does a clamp-on breaker lockout work?
A clamp-on breaker lockout attaches directly to the breaker switch toggle using a clamping mechanism. The device is tightened onto the breaker with a screw and thumbwheel mechanism, locking firmly onto the switch without the need for screwdrivers or additional tools.

Circuit Breaker Cover Lockout:

Codes: LOK353 (1 Pole), LOK354 (2 Pole), LOK355 (3 Pole), & LOK356 (4 Pole)

What are circuit breaker cover lockouts?
These transparent circuit breaker cover lockout devices are used to lock out miniature circuit breakers. With 1 and 2 Pole options, you can apply one padlock, and with 3 and 4 pole options, you can apply two padlocks. The transparent cover allows real-time monitoring of the breaker switch to confirm effective lockout.

How do circuit breaker cover lockouts work?
The device comes with double sided tape fixed to the ends to fix it to the surface of the circuit breaker. It is easy to install, and the paste is strong, preventing the device from falling off once installed.

Plug Lockout:

Codes: LOK351 (Small) & LOK350 (Large)

What is a plug lockout?
A plug lockout is a device that blocks plugs from being inserted during equipment servicing. This is ideal for preventing accidental power connections during maintenance work. Both large and small lockout devices allow four padlocks to lock out the device simultaneously.

How does a plug lockout work?
A plug lockout works by placing plugs into the device and locking it shut with a lockout padlock. This way, the plugs are hidden within the device and cannot be plugged in until the worker who locked it out unlocks it.

Pneumatic Quick-Disconnect Lockout:

Code: LOK361

What is a pneumatic quick-disconnect lockout device?
This lockout device isolates pneumatic energy without the need for in-line lockout valves. Compressed air systems often use quick-disconnect couplings so airlines can be connected and removed quickly. A pneumatic quick-disconnect lockout blocks access to that connection point.

How does a pneumatic quick-disconnect lockout device work?
The device fits over the male fitting to block all compressed air sources. A central hole allows permanent storage on an air hose, while a side loop enables hanging of both the hose and lockout device.

Pendant Control Safety Cover:

Code: LOK352

What is a pendant control safety cover?
A pendant control safety cover prevents oversized and irregular electrical connectors and lift controls from being used. The device blocks access to buttons, preventing them from being pressed during maintenance work.

How does a pendant control safety cover work?
This lockout device fits over long pendant controls that are difficult to lock out with traditional devices. Once placed over the controls, tighten the top with the drawstring and place your padlock through the hole to secure. Once locked out, this device supports four padlocks.
The expandable design also allows this device to fit pendant controls between 100 and 450mm long, accommodating a wide range of switch sizes.
