Centurion Europe, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of tools, hardware and DIY products, has seen an unprecedented level of demand from online buyers since it introduced an ecommerce facility to its website earlier in the year.
Centurion Europe relaunched its new website with a simple to use online buying facility back in the Spring, which gave customers a much quicker method of placing orders, as well enabling them to manage their accounts more easily too. To encourage customers to trial the system, Centurion Europe launched a competition which meant that anyone who bought online through its website www.centurion-europe.co.uk would automatically be entered into a prize draw to win an all expenses paid trip to Barcelona for two people.
Congratulations to Evans Brothers of North Wales who were recently selected at random from hundreds of buyers who had purchased online. Ian Evans will now be able to look forward to a luxury weekend for himself and a guest in a top hotel in Barcelona with £500 spending money!
But that does not mean the incentive is over! As part of encouraging even more customers to order online, Centurion Europe has launched a new free prize draw to run from now until 31st March 2011. All customers who buy online will have the chance to win an “experience day” – with prizes available for four lucky winners. The winners will be able to choose the gift experience that best suits their tastes and adventure levels; whether it is a racing car driving day, a flying lesson or simply a short break in a hotel, the choice is theirs!
John Burley, Sales Director at Centurion Europe, explains: “We have had a great uptake from customers buying online, with almost 20 per cent of orders placed in this way! This is definitely the way forward for customers looking to buy from our extensive range of over 22,000 lines of hardware and DIY products. It is great to be able to rewards customers too – we hope Ian Evans enjoys his trip to Barcelona and look forward to helping even more customers to benefit from buying through our website.”
The new online facility means customers are allocated a unique identification number and, as a result, can access their own account and view the status of orders, right through to delivery. Customers can also print copies of documents, such as statements, delivery notes, invoices and credit notes. They can also source products online through a simple method of browsing by product type, section or category.
Customers can also benefit from enhanced market support, as part of helping stockists to increase their sales. This includes the ability to download product images, technical and safety data sheets and reports. Customers can also take advantage of web-only special offers, as well as buying clearance stock at attractively low prices.
